Rude fans & Afghanistan head cricket Shoaib Akhtar fight

Rude Fans and Former Afghanistan Cricket Chief Shoaib Akhtar Fight on Twitter

following a disorderly episode involving the supporters of both sides during the 2022 Asia Cup in Sharjah. Former Afghanistan Cricket Board head Shafiq Stanikzai and former Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akhtar engaged in a contentious Twitter debate.

The ongoing Asia Cup’s Super 4 stage saw a nail-biting battle between Pakistan and Afghanistan on Wednesday in Sharjah. In order to give Pakistan a one-wicket victory and ensure their place alongside Sri Lanka in the championship game, Naseem Shah blasted back-to-back sixes off the first two balls of the final over. After the game, though, Afghanistan fans behaved badly at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. So these supporters were spotted shoving and kicking chairs toward Pakistan fans in apparent rage over their team’s loss.

So former Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akhtar posted a video online depicting Afghan fans destroying chairs and hurling them at Pakistani supporters.

“Fans in Afghanistan are performing this. They’ve performed this numerous times previously. Because this is a game, play it right and with the appropriate attitude. @ShafiqStanikzai, if you want to grow in the sport, both your players and your supporters need to learn a few things, tweeted Akhtar.

Shafiq Stanikzai, a former president of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, responded to Akhtar by saying that he shouldn’t represent the entire country when discussing such an issue because no one has any control over the opinions of followers.

Because you can’t control the audience’s emotions and situations like this occur frequently in cricket, you should go ask Kabir Khan, Inzimam Bhai, and @iRashidLatif68 how we handled them. I’m going to offer you some advice the next time mat lena baat ko country,” wrote Stanikzai.

In the game between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Afghanistan batted first and amassed 129/6 in 20 overs. The score was 87/3 in the 16th over when Pakistan was chasing 130 and looked to be coasting. After that, though, Pakistan began to falter and slipped to 118/9 in the final over.

Pakistan needed 11 runs in the final over to win, and Naseem Shah delivered.

The Pakistani team also exclaimed in joy after their victory, which guaranteed their position in the Asia Cup final. And strange things occurred in Sharjah.
