Hayden, have you seen Sehwag? Why not, if not? Supporting England’s Star As Test Opener, Kumar Sangakkara
According to former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara, Jos Buttler should open the Test match’s innings.
An outstanding IPL 2022 season was had by English wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler with the Rajasthan Royals. He amassed 863 runs, including 400, and significantly contributed to the team’s ability to advance to the championship game. The batter maintained his form in the just concluded ODI series against the Netherlands by reaching 162 not out in the opening ODI. According to Kumar Sangakkara, the director of cricket for the Rajasthan Royals and a former captain of Sri Lanka, Buttler should begin the inning in Test matches.
“In a Test match, I would give starting him significant thought. As we have always talked about, he bats with the tail at seven. Why not Buttler, who has previously started innings with Sehwag and Hayden? According to Sangakkara’s remark on Sky Sports, ESPNCricinfo’s Instagram account for the website has it.

After his final Test, which was in the Ashes earlier this year, Buttler was not included in the squad for the West Indies Tests.
He was not a part of the ensuing three-match Test series against New Zealand.
Buttler has participated in 57 Test matches so far, scoring 2,907 runs at an average of 31.94 runs per game.
He only has two tons in the longest format of the game, and his highest score is 152.
