Amit Mishra responds to Shahid Afridi’s advise to Virat Kohli, “Some Retire Only Once.”
Shahid Afridi’s suggestion that Virat Kohli step down was met with a scathing retort from former India spinner Amit Mishra.
Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi advised Indian sensation Virat Kohli to retire. India’s former leg-spinner, Amit Mishra, answered vehemently. Afridi believes that Kohli should retire whenever he decides to do so rather than waiting until he is released from the squad. In response to a piece on Afridi’s comments, Amit Mishra commented. “Dear Afridi, since some individuals only retire once, spare Virat Kohli from all this,” he pleaded.

Afridi, who regularly declared his retirement before changing his mind, served as the inspiration for Mishra’s comments.
“I believe there is a point when you are close to retiring. Afridi had said on Samaa TV that the aim should be to finish strongly at this moment. “ the style of play Virat used and his career’s prosperous start. He had to overcome challenges and put in a lot of effort before he was well-known. He is a champion, and I believe there comes a time when retirement is unavoidable.
Few athletes, especially Asian cricket players, decide to do it. Virat will probably end his career in the same way that he began it, but I believe he will succeed when he does. Instead of announcing your retirement after being fired from the team, do so when you’re at the top of your game.
Before regaining his form and style at the Asia Cup, Kohli went through a protracted dry spell.
