Rishabh Pant contributed to India scoring 416 runs in the current Edgbaston Test match against England with his 146-run innings. India’s innings was in danger at 98/5 at one stage, but Pant and Jadeja inspired their group with a 222-run stand. Jadeja not only hit his century milestone on Day 2 of the current Test, but also scored 104 runs.
At the close of play on Day 2, Jonny Bairstow (12*) and Ben Stokes (0*) were at the crease and England was at 84/5, still 332 runs off the lead.
India had previously scored 416 after centuries from Rishabh Pant and Jadeja and five wickets for England.
India now leads the five-game series 2-1 and has just to win or draw to win the series for the first time in the UK since 2007.
