“Needs A Bit Of Time Away From Game,” says Michael Vaughan of Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli, according to Michael Vaughan, should take a sabbatical from cricket because every player passes through a difficult moment in his career.

Previous match’s performance by Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli’s struggles in the ongoing Indian Premier League have been well-documented, and former England captain Michael Vaughan, like former India head coach Ravi Shastri earlier this season, has suggested that the star batsman take a break from the game. In RCB’s IPL 2022 Qualifier 2 loss to Rajasthan Royals on Friday, Virat Kohli was dismissed for seven runs. The 33-year-old had one of his worst seasons, with only 341 runs in 16 games. Kohli should take a break from the game, according to Vaughan, because every player goes through a difficult point in his career.

Michael Vaughan commented on Virat Kohli’s performance.

“For the time being, I feel he should put his bat in his bag and sit down with his family. I’m not sure where he can make advertisements without being hounded and harassed. He’ll be in terrific shape when he picks up the bat if he just stays away from it all for a few weeks.” Vaughan stated on Cricbuzz.

“He’s a legendary player who’s having a tough time right now. Two or three years ago, you could have switched on the screen or been on the field and predicted that Virat would score a century. He was on one of those hot streaks when he seemed to hit a home run every time he batted. Isn’t it a line of work? You don’t spend your entire career doing things that are so simple, do you?” He went on to state the following.

Kohli has been rested for India’s next T20 series against South Africa, and Vaughan believes the former India captain should take some time off before returning for the one-off Test against England.
