India defeated England by 10 wickets in the first One-Day International of the three-match series on Tuesday at the Oval in London. So, after deciding to bowl, the Indian pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami went after the English hitters, taking six and three wickets, respectively. Consequently, England was bowled out for just 110 runs in 25.2 overs. Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, responded by playing counter-attacking innings, batting an unbeaten 76 off 58 deliveries while hitting 7 fours and 5 sixes.
During the chase, Rohit Sharma became the fourth batsman overall and the first Indian to hit 250 sixes in ODIs.
In the 50-over format, only Shahid Afridi of Pakistan, Chris Gayle of the West Indies, and Sanath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka have more sixes than the India skipper.

So Jos Buttler of England comes in third with 144 sixes, and Martin Guptill of New Zealand is second among active cricketers, just behind Rohit, with 184 sixes.
So India already leads the series 1-0 thanks to Bumrah. Who in the first game posted his best ODI stats of 6 for 19.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan’s unbroken partnership of 114 runs enabled India to comfortably chase down the target (31 off 54).
The second One-Day International will take place on Thursday at the Lord’s.
India thus won the three-match T20I series 2-1 after dominating the first two games.
