A Pakistani bowler made this plea on MS Dhoni birthday, referring to him as “an inspiration.”
MS Dhoni is still competing in the IPL despite having retired from international cricket in 2020. He last took part in the tournament with Chennai Super Kings during its 15th season this year.
The former captain of India, MS Dhoni, turned 41 on Thursday, July 7. Players from other countries also used social media to wish MS Dhoni a happy birthday on the occasion of the former India star’s birthday. These athletes included Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, and Sachin Tendulkar. Among the many outside tweets, the one from Pakistani pacer Shahnawaz Dahani stuck out. The Pakistani pacer’s tweet praising MS Dhoni as his “inspiration and role model” garnered plaudits online for its deft composition.
In a social media post, Dahani wished MS Dhoni a happy birthday and called him “one of the all-time great entertainers and finishers.” Dahani encouraged Dhoni to play cricket “for at least (sic) few more years” rather than retire in the interim.
Happy birthday, sir @msdhoni, to one of history’s greatest performers, an inspiration, and a role model, wrote Danani. And because you are still physically well and young, sir, kindly keep making us laugh for at least a few more years.

MS Dhoni, whose international cricket career came to an end in 2020, is still active in the IPL. He last took part in the tournament with Chennai Super Kings during its 15th season this year. The fact that MS Dhoni retired as one of India’s most accomplished leaders is significant. He continues to be the only skipper to have taken home the Champions Trophy in the limited-overs format as well as the T20 World Cup (2007) and ODI World Cup (2011). (2013).
