Virat Kohli has the most Instagram followers among cricketers.
On Tuesday, India’s captain and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli became the first Indian to reach 200 million Instagram followers. Kohli, one of India’s most popular cricketers, is known for breaking records on the field, but this achievement shows his global appeal. Only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have more Instagram followers than Virat Kohli, the most popular cricketer in the world.
Kohli took to Instagram to convey his gratitude to his supporters.
“More than 200 million people.” Thank you, Instagram family, for all of your support.” Along with his message, Virat Kohli included a montage of his Instagram posts.

For limited-overs cricket, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants a single captain. As a result, Kohli just stepped down as T20I captain. After the T20 World Cup in 2021, he was relieved of his ODI captaincy.
Shortly after, he resigned as India’s Test captain.
In all forms, he has been replaced as captain by Rohit Sharma.
Due to a recent drop in play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Kohli has been rested for India’s next T20I series against South Africa.
He will be the next player to enter the field when India plays England in the postponed 5th Test from last year’s series.
Under Kohli’s leadership, India had taken a 2-1 lead in the series when the fifth match was postponed due to a Covid outbreak in the visitors’ camp.
